Research and Teaching

Lars Hein has published over 25 journal articles and numerous reports and book chapters on ecosystem dynamics, ecosystem services, land use change and resource use optimization. Lars is involved in teaching at BSc, MSc and PhD level. He has particular interest in integrating ecology and economics in support of environmental management, and a major part of his work has been implemented in the tropics.
